Petra Lindenbauer lebt und arbeitet seit 2006 in Stadtschlaining im Südburgenland. Seit 2010 führt sie dort ein Atelier und eine Galerie für zeitgenössische Keramik.

Neben freien keramischen Arbeiten entstehen in ihrem Atelier auch Tableware, Foodstyling sowie Kleinserien für die gehobene Gastronomie und Hotellerie, darunter Kooperationen mit dem Restaurant Steirereck Wien und Designhotels wie dem Wiesergut in Hinterglemm. Dabei arbeitet sie regelmäßig mit FotografInnen, FoodstylistInnen und KochbuchautorInnen zusammen.

Ihre künstlerische Ausbildung erhielt sie von 1983 bis 1987 an der Ortweinschule Graz im Höheren Lehrgang für bildnerische Gestaltung mit Schwerpunkt keramische Formgebung. 1998 schloss sie zudem ihr Diplomstudium der Kunstgeschichte und Klassischen Archäologie an der Universität Wien ab.

Petra Lindenbauer ist eine der führenden KeramikkünstlerInnen Österreichs, nahm und nimmt an zahlreichen Ausstellungen und Symposien im In- und Ausland teil.

Die Ausstellung gibt einen Einblick in ihr aktuelles Schaffen.

Neben dem kuratierten Ausstellungsprogramm finden ein- bis zweimal jährlich von KünstlerInnen selbst organisierte künstlerische Formate statt.
Diese Ausstellungen entstehen mit Unterstützung von PLANET H, werden jedoch während ihrer Laufzeit unabhängig von der künstlerischen Leitung realisiert und sind daher als „extra“ gekennzeichnet.

Petra Lindenbauer has lived and worked in Stadtschlaining in southern Burgenland since 2006. Since 2010, she has run a studio and gallery for contemporary ceramics there.

In addition to her own ceramic works, her studio also produces tableware, food styling, and small series for upscale restaurants and hotels, including collaborations with the Steirereck restaurant in Vienna and design hotels such as the Wiesergut in Hinterglemm. She regularly collaborates with photographers, food stylists, and cookbook authors.

She received her artistic education from 1983 to 1987 at the Ortweinschule Graz in the advanced course for visual arts, specializing in ceramic design. In 1998, she also completed her diploma in art history and classical archaeology at the University of Vienna.

Petra Lindenbauer is one of Austria’s leading ceramic artists and has participated in numerous exhibitions and symposia both in Austria and abroad.

This exhibition offers an insight into her current work.

Alongside the curated exhibition program, artistic formats organized by artists themselves take place once or twice a year.
These exhibitions are created with the support of PLANET H, but during their run they are realized independently of the artistic direction and are therefore labeled as “extra.”
